Our research focuses on the development of novel RNA technology and their related therapeutic and basic biological applications.
RNA Engineering and Next-Generation RNA Therapeutics
Our lab develops engineered RNA systems for durable and programmable gene expression, with a particular emphasis on circular RNA platforms. Current work focuses on improving RNA stability, minimizing innate immune sensing, optimizing sequence architecture, and enabling long-term expression in difficult-to-transfect cells. These efforts support applications such as in vivo immune-cell programming, CAR-T generation, and regenerative medicine. The broader goal is to establish circRNA as a next-generation therapeutic modality beyond conventional linear mRNA.
