Welcome to Yuhong Cao Lab

Our lab develops programmable delivery technologies to control cellular function across biological systems. We integrate nanotechnology, RNA engineering, and bio-interface science to overcome biological barriers and enable precise genetic regulation in both mammalian and plant systems. By designing next-generation RNA delivery platforms and cross-barrier nanomaterials, we aim to establish new frameworks for in vivo cell engineering, plant genome editing, and programmable biological manufacturing. Our long-term goal is to transform delivery from an empirical optimization process into a rational, materials-driven strategy for controlling cell fate across species.
